I snack during the day. It’s what I do. LOL Snack and drink water, but my snacks are usually healthy…pieces of fruit, crackers, cheese, almonds, things like that.
Maybe about a month ago I saw a commercial for Kashi‘s snack promotion where you could go online and receive a free snack….to see what they were all about. If you’re interested in doing the same you can click HERE to receive your free snack.
Well yesterday my snack came. I chose the TLC (Tasty Little Crackers). They are made with 7 Whole Grains and I was anxious to try them and compare them to my current fascination….100 Calorie packs of Wheat Thins.
Let’s examine the two.

As you can see they both appear to be the same in terms of nutritional value and they taste almost identical. I think I’d give Kashi the edge right now because they won me over with the “7 Whole Grains” marketing campaign. Of course my mind won’t be completely made up until I see the cost in the grocery store.
UPDATE: I just came from the store and both products were the same price….$2.99
And Aly….one serving means that one pack. There were about 15-20 crackers in that pack.
AND….I found a bunch of 100 Calorie snack packs. Everyone is getting on the bandwagon. My dessert for lunch is a pack of Dark Chocolate Chunk cookies from Pepperidge Farm. Only 100 calories and 3 grams of fat. I also picked up some of the Kashi chips and some cheeze crackers. 100 Calorie packs are the way to go!

Ummm now I’m confused. The serving size on the Kashi says “15 crackers” but Wheat Thins says “one serving”. So does that mean that ONE Wheat Thin cracker is 130 calories vs. 15 Kashi crackers?
I can’t never hardly get them things. Cuz I think they be tryna trick me. LOL
Imma try them out.
I love 100 calorie snack packs.
wow. I’m going to have to try those wheat thins. I’ve heard of those snack packs of the other cookies and stuff nabisco makes, too.
I love Kashi crackers. Especially the cheddar ones.
I pack Kashi TLC crackers in my lunch. I like them. (original and the fire roasted variety) I have to watch my sodium so they are an o.k. snack. Check out Sun Chips. I have begun eating them in the last week.
