One day I decided that as I lost weight I would set the goal of getting my cha cha waxed Brazilian style when I could look in the mirror naked and see it. Well since I made that deal with myself I’ve dropped close to 50 pounds and although I’m not walking around pole dance thin, when I get out of the shower and look in my full length mirror I can see what I’m working with. By golly it’s time! And then I read THIS. I was fascinated with the idea of a smooth cha cha without having anyone else see it or being upset over the cost of it if I felt gross or pedophilish afterwards. Being that I am the ultimate Tia stan I couldn’t wait to follow her directions.
Now let me tell you what I learned.
Either shaving cream shouldn’t be used on cha chas or my skin is really much more sensitive than I thought! That stuff burned like crazy! I’m open to all suggestions for shaving because Diva won’t be using that again. So after I finished I didn’t have that smooth baby’s bottom feel I was expecting. Had I done something wrong? Maybe I didn’t get close enough? Well if strippers do this every 2 days then I’ll wait and get closer in a few days. When a few days came I also decided to use less shaving cream. It still burned! But not only that…do you know what happens when you shave without any aids? CHA CHA RAZOR BURN!
Razor burn is an irritation of the skin caused by using a blunt blade or not using proper technique. It appears as a mild rash 2–4 minutes after shaving (once hair starts to grow through sealed skin) and usually disappears after a few hours to a few days, depending on severity. In severe cases, razor burn can also be accompanied by razor bumps, where the area around shaved hairs get raised red welts or infected pustules. A rash at the time of shaving is usually a sign of lack of lubrication. Razor burn is a common problem, especially among those who shave coarse hairs on areas with sensitive skin like the bikini line, pubic hair, underarms, chest, and beard. The condition can be caused by shaving too closely, shaving with a blunt blade, dry shaving, applying too much pressure when shaving, shaving too quickly or roughly, or shaving against the grain.
So uncomfortable! Well by day 5 it’s starting to itch as it grows back. It IS supposed to itch right? I mean when I’ve done it before it itched when it grew back (color me slightly unimpressed). I decided to have another go at it this morning before I went to my photo shoot (proofs to come later) and although I used enough cream to not get more razor burn it’s still not absolutely smooth.
Am I expecting too much?

Ummm yes, you’re expecting to much. Typically for the smooth “look” those hairs get yank within an inch of their lives and not in a happy way either.
You have to get waxed for the smooth look!

Go to a waxing place. It’s shocking but you will be smooth!
