Jennifer was strolling through the frozen foods section of the grocery store in search of premixed stir fry combinations when her cell phone rang. She smiled as she registered the number as her sister and pressed the button on the blue tooth device in her ear.
“Hey Penelope. You ready to go to the circus tonight?”
Jennifer and Penelope were bookend sisters, the youngest and oldest respectively, with one more in the middle and their mother had bought VIP tickets for them to to the circus with all of the kids. Jennifer was the only of the three siblings without children but she always enjoyed the group outings with her family.
“I’m so excited Penny. I didn’t even know that they had box seats at the circus. Do you think we’ll be able to see everything?” Jennifer rambled on excitedly until her sister cut her off.
“There’s something on my mind Jen. I woke up this morning with something heavy on my heart and I just need to get it off my chest.”
“Okay I’m listening.”
“You know I’ve never been a fan of your husband from day one.”

Jennifer continued her leisurely stroll towards the ice cream and searched high and low for a container of her favorite Chocolate Chip Chocolate ice cream. The chimes in her ear alerted her to another incoming call.
“Hello.”
“DID YOU JUST HANG UP ON ME?!?!?!?”
“Oh yeah.” Jennifer’s response was casual and flippant to the point where it pissed Penelope off.
“BUT I TOLD YOU THAT I NEEDED TO GET IT OFF MY CHEST!”
“That’s fine chica. Just because you need to get something off your chest doesn’t mean that I have to listen to that bullshit though. SO, that being said, I’m going to let you go and I”ll meet you at Raven’s house around 5:30 to go to the circus. Bye.” Jennifer disconnected the call again without waiting on her sister’s departure.
