Food Friday: I’m Ready For My Cupcake Closeup

Cupcakes is my dream.

Failure is my deterrent from pursuing my dream.

We’ve established these things already.

Every time I watch Cupcake Wars on the Food Network I say that I wonder if I could be creative on the spot like I’d need to be.  I wonder if I could blend flavors on the spot….I REALLY wonder if I could make it past the creative portion where the cupcakes have to invoke the theme.

I know I can!

I made these last night for a retirement party order for today.  These are spiced pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.  I made all of this up!  I’m not a pumpkin fan but I made a batch to be tested to make sure I was on the right path and I got 12 thumbs up.  But the star of this cupcake is the frosting.  From the name alone one could believe that they know all the ingredients to replicate it….you’d be wrong on this one.  You see my frosting has a secret ingredient that I never share and BABAAAAAYYYYY it adds a kick each and every time.  I’m so proud of these cupcakes.
