Over the Christmas holidays I helped my father deep fry a turkey. Afterwards my stepmother and I had a conversation about the best dish soap to cut grease in the kitchen. I had been using some unknown brand from the cheapo deapo store across the street from me and she said that I need to step it up and not go cheap on my dish soap….because it makes all the difference. Well a few weeks later I received an email from Influenster asking me to test out Palmolive’s new Fresh Infusions Dish Soap and I was super excited!

Although the package was a gift to me at no cost from Influenster and Palmolive, all of the opinions expressed here are my own.
The instructions said that I was to pick my favorite scent (the three included were Lime Basil, Lemon Thyme, and Ginger White Tea) and then give another to a friend. It took me a minute to decide but I loved the lime thyme scent so much that I put it on my sink. I’ll be giving one to my stepmother as well to try out. Listen to me y’all…SHE WAS RIGHT. I have never used a fancy name brand dish soap so I can’t give you an opinion on Palmolive vs. Dawn. But I CAN tell you that Palmolive Fresh Infusions cuts the grease like it says it will. I have washed casserole dishes with it, a crock pot, and tupperware containers that I accidentally left in the car too long. The grease and the dried on food just wiped away. I am a new convert people. From now on my house will use Palmolive!

A picture is worth a thousand words right?
AMAZING! It’s extremely moisturizing and the citrus scent is right up my alley. I like it so much that I plan to have some at work, at home, and in my purse. STRAIGHT WINNER!
Now..I’ve never been big on sunscreen. When driving to Vegas a couple of years ago my husband pulled the car over in the desert and made me put on the sunscreen he’d bought before we left Chicago. Yeah I’m hard headed like that. Lately I’ve been doing better though because with all the running and walking and races I do it’s easy to get burned. One of the things I’ve learned though is that when you sweat some sunscreens run off with the sweat (defeating the purpose). I haven’t truly put this Hawaiin Tropic Silk Hydration to the test yet because it’s always hotter than 110 degrees outside right now. But on an early morning workout I shared some with my partner and we both give it a thumbs up.

That being said and out of the way. I am in love with this product! What is it you’re asking….

Carrying this sustainable theme even further, we have packaged CalNaturale in Tetra-Pak flexible packaging – convenient and very eco-friendly, utilizing less than half the greenhouse gasses, waste and energy in producing and transporting our product.
RIGHT! It’s organic and packaged in an environmentally conscious method! When I won the giveaway that Melissa hosted I expected to receive 2 small containers and 2 large containers of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Chardonnay. In my mind the large containers would be the equivalent of a bottle and the small containers would be about a glass’ worth. BOY WAS I WRONG! I do believe I poured 6 glasses from the small containers….each. And I haven’t even cracked up the large ones yet. The volume is wonderful.
When I first started drinking wine a friend told me to put my hand over the glass, swirl it around, and then immediately smell it to see what aromas I could sense. If I liked the wine those were the ingredients I needed to be on the look out for. That’s what I did with these. The Chardonnay has strong peach and pear smells and is fruity and crisp. With the Cabernet Sauvignon, the smell of oak hit me strong (which I love) and it’s very juicy. I’m not sure if juicy is the proper wine term but it is. I have enjoyed these wines with meals, cheese, and alone.
Now let’s address this packaging. It’s absolutely wonderful! It ships so easily. I didn’t have to worry about a fragile shipment arriving at my door step or not being taken care of properly. When I finished a container I didn’t have to worry about the clanging of bottles in my trash bag either. It’s a total win/win situation.

Now that that’s out of the way….O…M…G! If you saw my video of my unpacking my VoxBox then you know I was super excited about the nail color included. (hint hint…follow me on YouTube). If you know me personally then you know I’m super excited about nail color in general. I’m really exploring new options. I’m not typically a trendsetter at nails like some of the other bloggers I follow or some of my sorors….but I want to be.
Thank you to Sally Hansen for improving my nail color life! The day after I got the box I was out at my local Ulta looking for a new 4 way nail file and I saw the Magnetic Nail Color display. Hmmmmm I thought, that’s not what I was imagining when I read the description. And I thought my color was purple but this color says red….hmmmmmm.
Now here’s a few tips:
Prep your nails first. File them, shape them, buff them, fix up your cuticles, all that good stuff.
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. I messed up one of the nails and tried to “fix it up”. Don’t do that. Follow the directions.
And it’s simple. Base coat, one coat of polish, wait a few minutes to let it dry, apply the second coat individually – placing the included magnet over each nail after you polish it for 10 seconds. Don’t do all 20 fingers and then use the magnet. Use the magnet on each finger as soon as you paint it the second time. I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that’s going to take forever. You’re wrong. 10 seconds times 20 fingers is only a minute and 40 seconds. Then let them dry for a couple of minutes and brush on your top coat. So basically there’s only one additional step to your regular process. And the results are amazing!
I have gotten more compliments at work this week than ever before. Actually I’ve never gotten compliments on my nails before at work. LOL At first I was a little worried that these zebra looking waves might be too much for my style but I LOVE THEM! I am going out to buy more colors ASAP and I really hope that Sally Hansen comes out with even more colors. I’d rock a yellow in a minute!

I thought I had shared my review of the Gilette Venus and Olay Razor but when TJ told me that she was anxious to try it I realized either I hadn’t or it wasn’t prominent enough to remember. First order of busienss: I received this product complimentary to test through Influenster’s Vox Box program. All opinions are completely my own.
DON’T DO IT!
I’ve read several bloggers who claim to have been lucky to receive this razor. They must have different shaving standards than I do. I know you’re thinking that maybe I had a bad experience because of my sensitive skin but that’s not it. My skin was fine….but my spirit was seriously disturbed by the way the bars on the razor turned goopy when wet. The grossest experience I’ve ever had when shaving.

I’ve even read reviews that claim not to have needed shaving cream/gel. Don’t believe that either. The bar doesn’t kick in until it is super wet and then it goes from dry to goopy in less than 60 seconds flat.
If anyone else has tried it and has a different opinion PLEASE share.
