9 more days to go (including today that is).
On the fourth day of Diva’s birthday, her favorite thing to share was…..

Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate
Starbucks Signature Hot Chocolate is a rich, creamy European-style hot chocolate made with our signature blend of four cocoas. This sophisticated hot chocolate is pure indulgence, made with no artificial ingredients – just four distinctive cocoas, sugar, natural vanilla extract, and milk! It is topped with fresh whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder.
We went downtown during the week of Thanksgiving to show the kids the storybook windows at Macy’s. While we were there we went into Macy’s and stopped at the Starbucks counter. I’d never heard of a Signature Hot Chocolate before but after they gave me the description I HAD to try it. If you are a chocolate fiend you need to go get one right now (I did). But take my word for it and don’t order anything bigger than a tall. It is so rich and thick that you won’t be able to handle any more. If you really wanna get sugared up, get a piece of the iced lemon cake too. mmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Lesson of the day: (These are all lessons I’ve picked up over the last year and am working to embrace in the next)
I know that we were all raised to be the bigger person. It’s really okay to NOT be the bigger person sometimes. When you get grown you need to be comfortable traveling on the low road sometimes. Every situation doesn’t deserve you making it right or holding your tongue. Sometimes I need to just be the me that spits it out and doesn’t care how it is received. You see…..we need to remember two things. 1) Everyone doesn’t appreciate the high road and won’t learn from the experience. 2) Sometimes peace of mind means throwing a low blow. Trust me on this. I have been in situations where holding my tongue made me miserable. I remember the old Original Diva who never hesitated to do whatever it took to be at peace. If that meant full and uninhibited expression…..so be it. I remember in 2005 when I decided that the world was going to become all about me. I was happy! I think 2006 was one of my best years too….I definitely remember having a good birthday party. Gumbo….balloons…..cake….girlfriends….boyfriends….cards…..and lots of laughter. Now THAT’S living life.
The free world ain’t ready.
Today I am grateful for crafts. I started back working on my holiday cards last night. Yes they are handmade. I enjoy card making and scrapbooking. I’m really looking forward to unpacking all of my heavy duty equipment like my Sihouette and my Xyron sticker maker and my Crop a Dile! I have some serious projects to work on. I’m going to spend the first part of 2010 working on a Ntimbanjayo Family Road Trip album AND the Gibbs Family Reunion album. I’m also going to buy a better camera for all of my future projects.

That hot chocolate looks goood!!
