And know your people!
If you KNOW your people, then you know the type of response you get from them on a regular basis and therefore can determine WHY you call them. You have someone you can call on for favors because they always say yes. You have someone you can call to work out a plan with because they are a detail oriented person and they only deal in the specifics. You have someone that you can call to give you ideas because every time you call them with a plan…they have ideas on how you should do. (A few of these can backfire on you if you call the wrong person).
