Some public schools are very good. Once my child is close to school age, I will be investigating schools in my area. If none of the public schools are up to par then I would try for a private school. But I'm already looking into it b/c I plan on buying a house the year he starts school. So I plan on buying a house with good public schools in the area b/c really I can't afford private school tution right now. I'm still confused about negotiating condom use. I went to a public school. I'm not willing to send my children to just any old school. I definitely will be investigating schools in any place that I decide to buy. I was bussed out of my neighborhood to attend magnet schools (a whole nother topic) so I know the best and brightest that the system has to offer. Of course Mini Exhausted-UnNamed Fella will be brilliant because he/she will be raised in a household where learning and education are valued (whole nother topic- I should really blog sometimes huh) Sorry to hear you're sick.
