I was remembering last Sunday’s brunch on the ocean and decided that I wanted some breakfast this morning. While I was sitting there, reading my book, and drinking my cranberry juice I saw a couple that looked to be my age sitting across from me with friends. I know that they were a couple by the way they interacted with each other. There was cuddling, kissing, and hand holding. I’m pretty positive that I saw an engagement ring on her finger as well.
At one point during their breakfast she ran out of water and reached for his glass to satisfy her thirst. JUST as the water was touching her lips he hollered out “HEY! That’s not your cup!” and I had to keep myself from spitting out my juice. I was HORRIFIED for her. I can’t imagine that Brown Blogger ever not sharing his water with me. As a matter of fact, we drink each other’s water ALL THE TIME. It’s natural to just reach for a glass of water and take a sip if yours is empty, or to unscrew the cap on the bottled water in the car if you get parched. ALL THE TIME. Nobody asks. Nobody gets upset. None of that. We just get lots of water and drink it.
