First and foremost, I’ve explained my methodology in regards to electronics, gadgets, and technical things….I buy what’s pretty and get a tech nerd to teach me how to use it.

I stick with what I know.

Pink is pretty….colors are pretty…..music and sounds are pretty.  So that’s what I buy.  And in comes a tech nerd.  I sincerely hope that no one is offended when I say “tech nerd” because I don’t mean it as derogatory.  I LOVE TECH NERDS.  They make the world go round!  If it wasn’t for them then the only pretty things I’d have is jewelry because I’m at a loss when it comes to buttons, downloads, and things like that.  I’m girly dammit.  Now on the inside ole heffa creole calls me a dude chick but I think that’s cause of the way I think. It’s damn sure not about me and gadgets!

As a matter of fact, you’ll notice that I don’t even have a category for technology.  Hell I don’t even know where to put THIS post.  I guess I’ll have to make one….but it will have to have a cute name like everything else.

Anyway, my current difficulty is with my new phone.  About 2 weeks ago I went to the store in search of a new phone that had fabulous internet and email capabilities because like I told my big brother Luke…..LIFE REVOLVES AROUND THIS PHONE.

Seriously.  I travel a decent amount of time and although things are on the back burner right now, I STILL run a successful business based out of Oklahoma.  I need to be able to check email and take care of business while I’m out on the road and sitting in an airport, a phone is the best way for me to do so.  I don’t always want to crack open the laptop and worry about connectivity.  So that is what I went in search of when I wandered into the AT&T store.  What I walked out with was the iPhone.  Don’t drool…..and the first crackhead that sends me some type of message about it being overrated or something like that MIGHT piss me off.  I’m just saying.

The reason I say not to drool is because everyone I’ve told has gone ga ga over this joint and I barely know how to use it!  My new favorite tech nerd fussed at me about not fully realizing that it’s an ipod too.  I had music on it but I wasn’t listening to it.  Hell…give Original Diva some time to comprehend.  I’m a little slow on the uptake when it comes to technology.

So now I have music on here and I’m listening to it.  I even have a couple of tv shows on here to watch while I’m traveling this weekend.  (I missed the last three episodes of Bones so I downloaded them.  I’m so proud of myself! )

My next adventure….is movies.   I have some great dvd’s that I’d love to upload to my laptop and then download to the phone and watch when I’m sitting on the plane.  BUT….I don’t know how.  I thought it would be as easy as uploading music cd’s but I was wrong!

So I did a basic search for “uploading dvds to itunes” and discovered that I have to have software that will “rip” the dvd and then save all the files on my computer and then some other stuff…….insert blank face here.
