About a month ago I decided to try some new foundation. Now you know I’m a faithful MAC/Oil of Olay chica, but I had become extremely impressed with the CoverGirl commercials for the TruBlend and Queen Collections. So I figured I’d give it a go.
 

 

 
The problem I had though was all I could find in either collection was the pressed powder and not any foundation. I searched at all the top spots I usually shop at for cosmetics…Ulta, Target, Wal-Mart….I even branched out to a local drugstore, Walgreens. None of them had anything other than the pressed powder in THOSE collections.
 
So that’s what I bought.
 

 
I want you to know that I was not pleased. This product does not get a favorable consumer review from me. I returned it to the store and decided I would search again for the TruBlend or Queen Collection foundation. 56 minutes, 5 stores, and a helluva attitude later I still was out of luck. I found myself sitting in the parking lot of the mall with the MAC counter and asking myself if it was worth the time and effort I had expended trying to save $20 and try a new product.
 
My mama ALWAYS says “you get what you pay for.” I had paid $7 for the pressed powder and 10 times that in time and effort trying to be happy.
 
So I said to hell with it and carried my butter pecan colored ass over to the mall and STOCKED THE HELL UP!
