Now let us have a little talk with Jesus.
Let us tell Him all about our troubles.
He will hear our faintest cry
And He will answer by and by.
Now when you feel a little prayer wheel turning,
Then you’ll know a little fire is burning.
You will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right.

There is a saying that God throws pebbles before He hits you with a brick. Everyone’s version of spirituality speaks to them at some point. The question is are you listening? Actually there are several questions. Are you in the right position to listen? Are you open to hearing or do you tune out because you don’t believe? Is it something you don’t want to hear? Do you ignore if if you don’t believe it?

My aunt used to be the branch manager of a bank and I went to visit her once. She was sitting in her office praying out loud as she worked. When I asked her if I was disturbing her, she replied “Chile I talk to God all the time. Come on in.”

Are you talking to God? Why not?

Last week I sat in my office and had a conversation with God AND the universe. We had a conference call. I was very clear in what I heard and digested. Today it was reinforced through a universal messenger.

Scripture tells us that if we believe and truly have faith then what God has promised us is ours. We just have to be in the right position (mentally, emotionally, and physically) to receive it. Bishop TD Jakes gave a sermon once about holding your position (when waiting in faith). He likened it to a stage actress. A good stage actress does not get on her mark once the stage has turned and the curtain is open. That’s too late. She is on her mark WAITING before the stage even turns or the curtains open. She holds her position. How can you hold your position if you’re not listening when the directions are being given? You don’t know where your mark is.

Normally I would say that I was about to walk into something truly awesome but that’s not true. I’ve been holding my mark on faith and now my stage is turning and the curtain is about to open. Hope I remember these lines.

This morning I was prepared to either delete my blog or make it completely private. I still might. I need to have a conversation with myself about why I blog. I have alot of listening to do.
