Now that I have all the mush out of the way (y’all know I’m not the mushy type right…..blech). Last night I stayed up reading a book (The Measure of a Man by Sidney Poitier) and had the television on in the background. You’ll never believe what was playing….VH1’s 2006 Hip Hop Honors. I love old school hip hop……east coast/west coast…..it all had some good stuff going on back in the day. So today’s playlist is all old school hip hop (east coast).

Break in the programming: Gerald Levert’s cd is the true hotness. The title track will lay you out! If you haven’t picked out your music for tonight’s Valentine rendevous then I strongly suggest you try to find a copy. I said try because apparently it sold out quite fast yesterday. I got the last copy at my local Target and I’ve heard that at your larger stores (Best Buy and Circuit City) there were lines to get them.
