So I’m sitting here as usual listening to my iPod and my playlist from my trip is still going strong. Ever notice how certain lyrics of a song speak to you sometimes? Maybe get you hyper than normal or evoke some sort of emotion or memory? I want to share some of my favorite lyrics on this playlist.

Seems like y’all are really interested in this story. I’m excited. In case you missed the beginning of this wonderfully fictional tale, check it out HERE.
SIX MONTHS EARLIER…
“It’s time for you to get back in the game.”
Tia looked across the table at her office mate Diane. They were having lunch at a restaurant near their office complex to catch up. Tia was an interior designer who frequently traveled. She was well known and had recently won a few awards for some work she had done for a celebrity couple in her home town of Forth Worth. She moved to Chicago after graduating with her master’s degree to launch her business and teach a special topics class in hospitality design for the local university. Tia enjoyed her visiting professor status because it allowed her to remain active in her business, which had grown to house 5 employees, and travel when necessary. She had just returned from Miami and they were in the throes of preparing a bid for biggest awards party of the year but she took a break to have lunch with Diane.
“What nonsense are you talking about now Diane?”
“DATING Tia. You’re young, beautiful, intelligent, and fun. You need to date more often. Get back out there and get some companionship.”
“That’s the problem with having lunch with a shrink. They always find something wrong with you. I do not need to do anything or find any companionship Diane. Now let’s drop the subject and finish lunch. You know things are busy back at my office.”
“I will not drop the subject Tia. You haven’t been on a date since you moved here and I should know. Remember? We met your first day in the office. The only people you socialize with are your employees and me. You need some romance girlfriend. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.”
Tia put her fork down and hated to admit it, but Diane was simply vocalizing what she was already thinking. Tia had been hoping to jump start her dating life by leaving Texas and coming up to Chicago. The pool was supposed to be so much wider here.
“Okay Doc. What do you suggest I do to fix that?”
“I have a friend I’d like you to meet.” Tia got the feeling that Diane had this planned all along.
“No. No. And hell no. Never date the friend of a psychologist. You’re crazy as hell and so is everyone you know.”
Diane raised her eyebrows at Tia and giggled, “So what does that say about you?”
They both laughed throughout the rest of their meal and somehow Diane convinced Tia to go on a date with David, a doctor that Diane met at a professional conference 6 years ago and maintained a friendship with. Tia and David played phone tag for a week before finally meeting to attend the theatre and a late dinner. It wasn’t long before the two became an inseparable couple. Both of them having flexible work schedules, they began traveling together on business trips and spending vacations together. Valentine’s Day came and went with the exchange of gifts of flowers, jewelry, and cologne. They were truly beginning to form something special. The true test for Tia came in March. She planned a very special birthday weekend for David’s 40th birthday. She made reservations for them to spend two nights at a bed and breakfast located on the grounds of a vineyard. That weekend began their sexual relationship. David was turning Tia out in the bedroom. Not only did he welcome her sexual openness, he was teaching her things she couldn’t even admit to her sisters. The first weekend of spring they spent four days in her backyard having amazing sex under the moonlight, surrounded by her new privacy fence. They laughed later when the neighbors began to avoid eye contact with them. Tia’s loud screams could be heard at least four houses over on both sides of her.
Then came her first wave of morning sickness and things changed faster and crazier than she ever could have imagined.
