After three lovely days of travel, I am in an equally lovely hotel in Dubai. Public notice…if I get snatched and sold I’m going to be pissed!
Since I’m out of town, I took the moderator approval off of the comments. Don’t y’all get too damn loose up in this piece! All of my posts have been typed and time stamped to entertain y’all jokers for 10 days (well 8 now….you got 2 while I was traveling).
Holla!
One of my goals for being 30 is to gain a better appreciation for wines and to figure out what I like. Last year, Creole suggested that I try a new wine every month and remember what I liked and why.
This month’s selection was a gift from a friend…Barefoot California Merlot. Barefoot Merlot is a luscious wine with alluring flavors of boysenberry and chocolate. Hints of anise and subtle tannins complement the decadent, silky finish.
When you open the bottle you instantly smell the chocolate scent and it has a clear “berry” taste just like. It makes a great complement to a pasta dinner or desert. It is taking me a while to wrap my heart around red wines. They are just so strong to me. But with every glass I begin to like/tolerate it more and more. This is the first one that I can definitely put into the like category.
